Instructions

1. Trim cardstock and fold to make a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” card.

2. Print out template twice on plain paper and glue to cardboard. Cut out entire template once and then just the door of the mailbox separately, so you have two parts.

3. Ultimately, the bottom fold of the card will be where the mailbox door “opens,” so line up bottom edge of template to INSIDE fold on card and trace around stencil. Cut out back of card according to traced image, trimming off top of flag.

4. On the inside of the card, place the door template on the back side of the card front and trace. Trim around just the door from the front of the card. Make sure your mailbox opens and closes as you desire.

5. On a scrap piece of cardstock, draw a flag similar to the one on the template and cut out. Using the photo as a guide, place the flag on the mailbox as desired and use a small hole punch to make a hole in the flag and the card.

6. With mailbox door “closed,” sponge turquoise ink all over card and flag. Leave “inside” of mailbox blank.

7. In the same manner, sponge Not Quite Navy ink all over front of card and on flag.

8. Attach cancelled postage to front of card.

9. Stamp postage and cancellation images and sentiment with Night of Navy ink.

10. Attach flag to card with brad.
